Lakhwinder Wadali belongs from a family of illustrious musicians his father and uncle forms india’s most celebrated sufi Qawal duo “The Wadali Brothers” received extensive classical music training from his father and guru Padamshree Puran Chand Wadali He has masters degree in music and currently enrolled in Phd Programme, inspired form Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Sahib and Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan
Lakhwinder Wadali grandson of Thakur Dass Wadali was a renowned vocalist & Son of Legendry Ustad Puran Chand Wadali from Patiala Gharana belong to small village of Amritsar (Punjab) named Guru Ki Wadali situated at Amritsar Road Lahore (birth place of 16th Guru of Sikhs)
Among the leading folk and Sufi singers of his generation, Shri Lakhwinder Wadali has evolved an individual style in his presentation and has gained wide popularity. His style of singing combines a fine blend of classical and contemporary music. Alaaps and Taans are the vital aspects of his music. He has performed with many eminent musicians such as Himesh Reshamia, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shanker Mahadevan, Mikka Singh, Shan, Shreya Ghoushal and Mohit Chauhan. Shri Wadali has performed widely in the country and abroad.
